I have this habit of sitting on empty these days. I just refuse to fill
up with prices being so high.
I visit my cousin, her husband and her two kids about once a month. They live in San Diego. The drive is usually about 2.5 hours from LA, but I usually like to drive a good 80 mph to get there under two hours. That stretch right below Irvine is particularly easy because there is very little traffic.
On some of my visits, my cousin will call me to see where am I on the road trip. This right here is a landmark. We call them the Dolly Partons.
because...well, they look like something Dolly possesses. Two structures, in the middle of nowhere, perched between the freeway and the coastline. They help me find my way should I momentarily forget how far away I am from San Diego. They definitely look better at a different angle, where they almost obscure eacvh other, but this will do.
